Woodbridge Virginia (VA) Graphics Cards – Signs That Your Video Card Is Failing, Woodbridge Virginia (VA)

As I stated in my previous blog, the video or graphics card in your computer is what your PC uses to change binary code in to the pictures that you see on your monitor.  If your video card is failing you can usually tell right away just by looking at your monitor.

If you feel like your graphics card is failing and you need to have it looked at or replaced, Geek ABC is here to get the job done.  We are a local computer and network service and repair company with expertise in many areas, such as video cards.  For more information we can be reached via our website www.geekabc.com or you can give us a call at 1.877.GEEKABC (1.877.433.5222) for more information or to schedule an appointment.  We provide same day, onsite computer and network repair and service.

Some of the signs that your graphics card may be going bad are:

1.      Pixelation:  Pixelation is usually the first sign that your video or graphics card is going bad.  When this happens you will notice that your screen seems to have a very low resolution.  The pixels will be so large that you can see them individually.  The first thing you will want to check are your display settings, because a computer that was previously set on a high resolution that all of the sudden looks pixilated could mean that your video card is about to die.

2.      Lines:  If you ever see lines that are running either horizontally or vertically through your screen, this could also be a sign of a failing graphics card.  They may or may not always be in the same place every time you load your computer.

3.      3D Images Start To Look One Dimensional:  If you are a person who plays 3D games or knows that an image on your computer is supposed to be in 3D but it looks flat or distorted, this can also be another sign that your graphics card is malfunctioning.

4.      Blurred Images:  A good graphics cards will have crisp clear images and clearly defined boundaries.  If you notice that images are blurry, this is just another way to determine that your video card is going bad.

Again, if you notice any of these symptoms on your PC, please feel free to give us a call at 1.877.GEEKABC (1.877.433.5222) or visit us on our website www.geekabc.com
